Welcome to Waterfront Retreat at Wattle Point
Waterfront Retreat at Wattle Point is, as the name indicates, at Wattle Point, Victoria. It is nestled in 20 acres of natural bush, right on the edge of Lake Victoria.
Mark and Sharon purchased the management rights back in September 2013 and with the assistance of Debbie, the retreat is looking and feeling great. Some of the changes that have been made are: replacement of the linen and towels throughout the lodges, new water pressure pumps, new deck in the spa and pool area, new pushbikes, new seat on the jetty and, new crockery in the conference centre.
The lodges are individually owned by people from all walks of life. The Retreat Management Staff take care of the lodges and arrange all the bookings for accommodation and the conference centre.
The land has been a Retreat for many years and started with a few lodges on the Waterfront, a couple hidden up in the Bush, the main house/reception and the mineral spa.
The previous managers where at the retreat for approximately 11 years and built many new lodges and the conference centre.
All the lodges are named after the boats that sailed, steamed and paddled the Gippsland Lakes from as early as 1889.
There are now 18 fully self-contained lodges ranging from 1 bedroom/1 bathroom to 4 bedroom/2 bathrooms, so there is accommodation to suit all travellers and holidaymakers. Whether you are travelling/holidaying alone or with family and/or friends it is a great place to stay.
You will find plenty to do without leaving the retreat. There is the indoor solar heated pool, heated mineral spa, tennis court, kayaks, stand up paddle boards and canoes, pushbikes, DVD’s, board games for you to use during your stay, all at no extra charge. Or take the time to relax and enjoy the animals and birdlife that have made the retreat their home. The kangaroos are very friendly and will eat from your hand.
Whether you are looking for a short break, weekend away or a family vacation make sure you spend your time at Waterfront Retreat at Wattle Point. Look forward to seeing you very soon.
